TRASH

TRASH SERVICES

Trash fee is $20.00 a month which includes tax.

Trash receptacles are placed around Dora for all customers to use.  Only paying customers may use the trash receptacles which are collected once a week, usually on Tuesday except near holidays.  Trash services are for household trash ONLY.  The Village of Dora encourages customers to put trash in a tied plastic bag to help the collectors keep the container clean.  Loose trash outside of receptacle will not be picked up.  Do not over-fill receptacles.  If all receptacles are full, please wait until trash is picked up by collector on Tuesdays.

Examples of trash items:

Kitchen wastes, foodstuffs, glass and plastic bottles and jars, paper products, cardboard, and boxes.  Boxes should be broken down so they will not fill the receptacle.

House cleaning waste.

COMPLAINTS REGARDING SERVICES.  Customers shall notify the Village office immediately if water or trash services are unsatisfactory.  All complaints shall clearly define the problems being experienced by the customer.  If no satisfactory conclusion can be reached, the customer can bring the complaint before the Village council at their next scheduled meeting.    The decision of the Village council shall be final.

These water and trash policies of the Village of Dora are designed to outline the principal operating regulations of the water system and trash collection.  These rules do not cover every conceivable condition or situation that may arise, but only those of recurring situations where standardized policies have been established.  The rules and policies set forth may be amended from time to time by a majority vote of the Village of Dora Council.
